Students will explore when and how to incorporate internal supports, ensuring proper weight distribution and long-term stability in their furniture designs.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p3\"\u003eThroughout the workshop, participants will gain practical experience working with \u003cspan class=\"s1\"\u003eenclosed forms, shrink slabs, and large-scale clay construction\u003c\/span\u003e while learning how to safely manage the drying process for large ceramic pieces. He received his BFA with a dual emphasis in sculpture and ceramics from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in 2019. His work explores the intersection of sculpture, architecture, and design, often blurring the line between functional objects and sculptural forms.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p3\"\u003eAustin currently works as a long-term resident artist at the \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/archiebray.org\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"\u003e\u003cspan class=\"s1\"\u003e\u003cb\u003eArchie Bray Foundation for the Ceramic Arts in Helena, Montana\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/a\u003e, where he continues to develop his practice in large-scale sculpture and ceramic furniture.
