About Tao of Clay
Tao of Clay is a vibrant ceramics studio and creative community dedicated to exploration, craftsmanship, and connection through clay. We offer classes, workshops, and memberships that inspire both new and seasoned artists to deepen their practice and discover the artistry within the ceramic process.
The Role
We’re seeking a part-time Social Media Manager who is a social media expert with a strong interest in ceramics or other similar creative practices. Someone who can translate the spirit of our studio into captivating, story-driven digital content. This role is ideal for a creative communicator who thrives in both collaborative studio settings and independent digital work.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a cohesive social media strategy aligned with Tao of Clay’s mission and visual identity.
- Create original, engaging content (photos, videos, Reels, TikToks, stories, etc.) that highlights classes, artists, membership features, and the Tao of Clay community.
- Capture and curate in-studio moments, from behind-the-scenes process videos to finished ceramic works.
- Manage posting schedules and engagement across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and additional platforms as needed.
- Collaborate with the Tao of Clay team to plan campaigns, promote events, and amplify artist stories.
- Track performance metrics and adapt strategies based on insights and analytics.
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing and growing social media platforms for a brand, artist, or creative business.
- Strong understanding of current social media trends, storytelling, and community engagement.
- Comfortable with photography, videography, and basic editing tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe, CapCut, etc.).
- Artistic eye and appreciation for visual composition, tone, and authenticity.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate within a small, passionate team.
- Availability to work on-site for studio content creation and remotely for planning and posting.
Ideal Candidate
You’re artistic, confident, and thoughtful. A natural storyteller who finds beauty in process and imperfection. You’re comfortable getting your hands a little dirty (literally and creatively), and you have the skill to translate the tactile experience of clay into compelling digital moments that resonate with our community.
Details
- Part-time position (10–20 hours/week)
- Flexible scheduling, with some in-studio hours required
- Compensation commensurate with experience
